The Chi-KAP Web site was first formed in 2000 to provide a listing of Kink-Aware Professionals with a Chicago-area focus. The management of the site changed in April of 2008, and we want to expand the focus of the listings. We want to include not only Illinois and the neighboring states, but states across the country as well.
Chi-KAP is a service dedicated to providing the BDSM, fetish, GLBT and adult services communities with referrals to professionals and services such as building contractors, travel, medical, counseling, legal, and printing. We want to, and plan to, continue to gather together local listings of professionals and services who are aware and comfortable serving a diverse community of businesses and individuals, without judgment regarding sexual orientation and fetish.
Chi-KAP cannot in any way endorse or recommend any of these professionals since their inclusion on this list is done without any screening. However, each professional listed has volunteered to be available for referral to people involved in non-traditional relationships and lifestyles of all kinds, including "kinky" sexuality (leather, SM, fetish, etc.), either by contacting Chi-KAP directly or through another kink-friendly organization.
We've recently completed an overhaul of the site which will make it easier for businesses and practitioners to join, and will also make maintenance of the site easier. Time permitting, we are testing the new forms and other changes we've made. We will have a new "Join" form after the overhaul is fully complete, so if you are a "kink-friendly" business, medical practitioner or therapist, and you would like to be listed, please copy this address - admin@chi-kap.com - and send us a note. We'll let you know when the new form is up. We invite you to check back periodically to make note of the results of the overhaul, and we hope that you find the site useful.
